Internship description

Within the Metrology team we maintain the measurement and inspection process-steps which are part of the Production Process. We continuously improve and develop process-steps to support existing and new processes with which we build our photonics chips.

During this internship, you are asked to take a deep dive into one of our wafer curvature measurements systems and define the best way of working for that system. The curvature measurement system is used for analysing stress in thin layers. The internship may include:

• Setting up, carrying out and analysing Design of Experiments
• Work with and instruct Operators to carry out experiments
• Improve our current initial recipes and our way of working based on the DOE outcome
• Setting up and analysing a Gage R&R
• Do an extended measurement error calculation

Requirements

The team is looking for a candidate who:

• Is a HBO, Bsc student in Engineering, preferably Physics;
• Has knowledge of statistics;
• Has great communication skills.

The Metrology team is looking for an intern who is interested to join SMART Photonics for 3-4 months, 5 days per week. It is possible to work remotely 1 day a week.
