Product Manager

Do you have a strong technical background in Photonics, Semiconductors or Optical telecommunication Industry?  And do you want to move to a more strategic position? We are hiring a Product Manager who understands the technical requirements or our customers, and who can work with them to define the optimal implementation trade-offs while supporting the R&D department in the development of a coherent roadmap.

 

You will understand and match our Customers’ application needs and their product roadmaps to our technology capabilities and roadmaps. You are able to work alongside Customers on specific projects, helping address their challenges. You are technically savvy, customer focussed, hands-on. You like to take challenges and solve problems with a proactive, can-do attitude. You have thorough understanding of the technical aspect of optics and semiconductor technology, able to pinpoint the key technology demands that need to be met in the longer run, while being able to assist and solve the immediate needs of each of your customers.

 

Your responsibility:

• Thanks to a strong understanding of Photonics, you are able to support customers in different phases of their development cycle, helping them to address their challenges and directing them to the optimal solutions.
• Helps develop, document, evangelize the roadmap for SMART capabilities supporting the evolution of telecom, Datacom and sensing markets.
• Present to customers or at fairs/events on SMART roadmap and capabilities.
• Work together with Sales and Marketing team to assess and develop new business opportunities and to define the scope and requirements for new customer projects.
• Provide product and technology feedback to customers, influencing their roadmap planning process.
• Provide product and technology feedback from customers for incorporation and alignment of the company technology and product roadmap.
• Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking to ensure the right positioning of SMART Photonics solutions.

 

We are looking for a person who has / is:

• In-depth knowledge about the semiconductor industry and integrated photonics is a must
• In-depth knowledge about application needs for telecom, Datacom and/or sensor markets is a plus..
• Technical education, with more than 2 years of professional work experience in the semiconductor / sensors / telecom industry in a combined technical and commercial role.
• Understand how to translate technology into a strong business proposition.
• Able to work in cross-functional teams and to influence effectively internal and external stakeholders. Strong communicator, self-confident and able to connect with people and win their trust and respect.
• Determined and persistent in identifying solutions that are deemed satisfying by all stakeholders.
• Solid analytical skills and creative thinking used to make data-driven decisions.
• Able to travel up to 10%
