Lead Engineer – Test & Measurement Team

As a Lead for the Test and Measurement team you grow our team towards the next level of maturity.

Leadership: the current team exists out of 4 engineers and 2 technicians, some very senior in their expertise. They need some-one to guide them towards becoming a more mature department. Next steps are a more strategical (long term) approach, better priority setting, presenting the department towards senior leadership, new tools and software to decide on, etc. This position offers growth to managerial level if you are able to deliver above.

Operational: combined with the Leadership we expect you to occasionally help the team with operational tasks. You understand the technology is so new, we do not have standardized test, and the team has to build or adjust other processes by them selves.

Main daily tasks:

• Lead, coach and guide the team.
• Development of a long-term strategy for Test & Measurement.
• Empower the engineers and technicians to do their daily jobs with joy, clear tasks, good priority setting and guidelines.
• Present the team results, achievements and needs towards our management team, get things done.
• Coordination and planning
• Support operational when needed. (Designing and testing)
• hiring manager for future open positions, growing your team.
• Purchase of new tools and SW
• Participate in cross sectorial projects and alignment between other departments.

We are looking for a person who has/is

• Successfully completed a BSc or MSc degree in electronics or physics.
• At least 3 years of experience as (team) Lead Engineer in the semiconductor industry.
• Understanding the photonics test and characterisation methods or very close related (physics, design)
• Good lead communication skills to work collaboratively and strongly present the team towards Leadership Team.
• Approachable, leading by example, natural leader, strong decision taking and able to prioritize.
