Photonic Building Blocks Developer

SMART Photonics is a rapidly growing, ambitious high-tech company and we are expanding our R&D team.

Job description 

As Photonic BB developer you become part of the Research & Development team. Within this team, you intensively collaborate with our scientists, direct R&D colleagues, product management, and other involved colleagues and departments.

• Fabricate Building Blocks using semi-conductor fabrication technologies.
• Develop compact models to be offered in SMART Photonics PDK.
• Understand of our customer needs and able to translate them to useful, manufacturable, and qualitative devices.
• Collaborate with R&D team and cross sectorial teams involved.
• Participate in improvement projects, 8D’s and /or FMEA’s.

We are looking for a person who has /is

• A PhD in Integrated Photonics or a Master with at least 4 years of industry experience is a must.
• Experience with semi-conductor fabrication technologies and products.
• Solid analytical and creative thinking skills.
• Good communicator and able to get things done.
• A natural independent drive to get things done and ownership.
