We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will work closely with Operations, Process Engineering, and R&D teams to enhance tool uptime, implement process improvements, and drive innovation in our fabrication processes.

As an Equipment Maintenance Engineer at SMART Photonics, you will play a key role in maintaining
semiconductor equipment to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will work closely
with other teams, such as Operations and Process Engineers, to enhance the efficiency and
capacity of equipment while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental
regulations.

In this role, you will report to the Cluster Lead of the Equipment Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Uptime Maximization:

  • Execute equipment preventive maintenances;
  • Optimize equipment uptime;
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and resolve complex issues;

Equipment Optimization & Improvement:

  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Implement improvement initiatives, updating FMEA;
  • Collaborate with process engineers and operations to drive process improvements;
  • Plan preventive maintenance procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Capacity & Productivity Enhancement:

  • Optimize maintenance schedules and participate in projects for tool introduction and
    modification;
    Analyze tool behavior and propose solutions for root cause issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a technical field such as Electrical or Mechanical
    Engineering;
  • Experience in equipment maintenance in semiconductor or related industry, preferably Lithography equipment;
  • Cleanroom experience;
  • Hands-on mentality – you like to work with equipment and maintain our tools;
  • Flexibility is key for this role;
  • Able to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment;
  • Great communication skills in English.
