SMART Photonics is a rapidly growing, ambitious open foundry on InP Photonics. We are unique in offering our customers a Process Design Kit (PDK) which allows them to design complex photonic circuits. Our customers come from a range of market sectors, including telecom/datacom, medical sensing, automotive/lidar and quantum technologies.
Our Finance department is responsible to guide our growth from scale-up to become a TIER 1 foundry on an all-round financial aspect. Improve processes, prepare for exceptional growth. To do so, we need to grow our team with an experienced
Financial & subsidy Accountant.
Your key responsibilities will be predominantly general finance and accounting and support on the financial reporting cycle. In addition, you will also become our main support for the subsidy projects in finance.
General Finance and Accounting Responsibilities:
- Cost allocation for compliance with accounting standards, subsidies and grants.
- Solid reimbursement process and guide our employees to follow the process.
- Internal- and external reporting on expenses, time writing and subsidy usage
- Execution of the Accounts Payable activities. Proactivity on improvements in the Purchase-to-Pay (PtP) cycle.
- Preparation of month-end and year-end closing account reconciliations and follow-up on audit requests.
- Reporting to internal and external stakeholders, direct report to our senior controller.
- Ensure financial reports comply with accounting standards (IFRS) and relevant laws and regulations.
- Support and assist the other departments in any financial/accounting requests.
- Continuously seek ways to improve financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- +5 years of accounting experience in a commercial / manufacturing organization
- Excellent proficiency in written and oral English communication skills, Dutch is a plus.
- Knowledge of IFRS. Dutch GAAP is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills interfacing with multiple stakeholders at different levels of our organization.
- Accurate, good analytical skills. Proactive and with drive for continuous improvement.
- You own your projects and come with a pro-active attitude, when dealing with unexpected issues you are taking initiative to successfully solve it yourself.
- Ability to plan, organize, and schedule workload to proactively facilitate the business in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.
- Team player, collaboration oriented, hands-on approach. Ability to wear multiple hats and learn across the Finance function.
