Our technology enables innovation across telecommunications, medical devices, data centers, and sensing industries.
As we expand, we are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer (RFPD) with a strong background in integrated photonics, receiver photodiodes (RFPD), modulators, S-parameter analysis, and Uni-Traveling Carrier (UTC) photodetectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and testing of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) with a focus on RFPD, high-speed modulators, and UTC photodetectors.
- Analyze and optimize S-parameters for high-frequency photonic components to ensure high performance in communication and sensing applications.
- Develop and implement test methodologies for evaluating the performance of photonic and RF components, including S-parameter measurements and characterization.
- Design and simulate integrated photonic components using industry-standard software (e.g., Lumerical, OptoDesigner) with a focus on RF performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate photonic devices with RF electronics, ensuring efficient hybrid designs for complex PICs.
- Conduct experimental measurements, including high-frequency modulation, RFPD efficiency, and UTC photodetector response, ensuring accurate and repeatable data.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and research in integrated photonics and high-speed photonic components, applying them to new projects and solutions.
- Present research outcomes, designs, and testing results in reports and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience in integrated photonics with a focus on RFPD, modulators, and S-parameters.
- Proficiency in simulation and design tools (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, OptoDesigner) for photonic and RF components.
- Experience with Uni-Traveling Carrier (UTC) photodetectors, including design and testing.
- Hands-on experience with S-parameter analysis, high-speed modulation, and RF-photonic testing using vector network analyzers (VNAs), spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong knowledge of photonic modulators and high-frequency photodiodes, including design and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with InP photonic integration and related semiconductor technologies is a plus
Preferred Skills
