SMART Photonics is a rapidly growing, ambitious open foundry on InP Photonics. We are unique in offering our customers a Process Design Kit (PDK) which allows them to design complex photonic circuits. Our customers come from a range of market sectors, including telecom/datacom, medical sensing, automotive/lidar and quantum technologies.

The  Senior Dry Etch Process Engineer offers you a challenging as well as operational role, it is your task to support & release new purchased equipment and tools, train the operations team and continuously improve this process and way of work.

Job description

To fit this position we need the ideal balance between brains & knowledge as well as hands-on approach & serving the team; your mission: to sustain and improve  PECVD processes for our company.

• Process development and improvement for Dry etch processes.
• Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variation for process or material specifications.
• Maintaining, improving, and co-developing the plasma processes to produce photonic devices.
• Participate in cross functional teams to improve yields, solve process problems, simplify procedures, processes and selection, qualification and release of new tools and processes with improved capacity and capability.
• Prioritize and oversee your tasks, work collaboratively with production and quality colleagues, to assure orders are completed on time and within specification.

 

We are looking for a person who has/is

• bachelor or Master degree in a relevant technical field.
• Knowledge about 3-5 semiconductor Dry Etching – ICP processes, you have handled plasma / dry etch tools in a production environment.
• Personality wise you are eager to learn;  a positive attitude, team mindset and willing to be trained.
• Offering 7+ years of process engineering experience in a wafer fab, this is a hard requirement.
• A good understanding of various processes used in the fabrication of semiconductor integrated circuits.
• Oversees the process, is used to collaboration and going for the bigger goals.
• Familiar on SPTS, LAM, AMAT systems for PECVD/ICP, are added advantages.
