The Commercial Team is seeking a Senior Technical Project Lead to successfully manage customer projects and guide the organisation to exceed customer expectations You are the link between R&D, Operations and Commerce to make sure we meet the highest level of service and quality in delivery of customer orders according to agreements made. You contribute directly to customer satisfaction and SMART Photonics’ success in the market.
Role and Responsibilities
- Guide the definition of new projects with the team and execute multiple projects as project owner, managing them according to budget, time, and quality targets.
- Prepare and initiate kick off meetings with stakeholders and our customers to establish milestones and proactively identify, escalate, resolve constraints.
- Identify critical path based on deliverables, availability, and resources and act whenever needed to deliver according to agreements made with the customer.
- Establish and maintain standards and best practices in project management, documentation, work procedures and processes.
- Be the voice of the customer within SMART Photonics organisation. Always be on the look out to improve the internal SMART processes to continuously and on a structural basis improve performance to our customers.
- Concisely communicate project status among team members, management and the customer.
- Manage the stakeholders to resolve potential issues to maintain tight factory schedules.
Requirements
- 5+ years of III-V semiconductor manufacturing experience in a technical role.
- Proven track record in leading customer projects
- Good leadership and communication skills to guarantee good cooperation among the project team members for excellent results towards our customers and;
- Ability to self-learn and gain expertise in new fields.
- Experience with customer interactions and speaking/presenting in public.
- Manages risk and uncertainty in decision making under pressure while understanding the bigger picture of the commercial relation with the customer.
- Ability to identify and develop opportunities for improvement and value creation with internal stakeholders and the customer.
- Rapidly analyse complex problems or technical systems and identify solution paths as a skilled, experienced negotiator.
- Embrace creative approaches to problem solving.
- Forward-looking: demonstrate time management skills and the ability to think multiple steps ahead amid complex projects. Ensure all key milestones are scheduled in advance to proactively mitigate delays.
- Ability to work in an international and diverse team, and to collaborate for collective success.
- High tolerance to change and last-minute swings across schedule milestones.
