SMART Photonics is a leading pure-play foundry for Indium Phosphide (InP) photonics. We offer foundry services to integrated photonics customers in various markets, including telecommunications, data centers, medical devices, sensors, and automotive. Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with our key clients, ensuring their needs are met, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep affinity with our photonics technology and a proven track record in account management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Foster excellent relations with our customers to achieve long term business growth.
  • Be the ‘Voice of the Customer’ towards the internal organisation, challenge internal stakeholders, get things done à strive for continuous improvement.
  • Implement and improve a structured Key Account Management approach, aligned with our mission to become the trusted TIER 1 foundry in InP.
  • Be a sparring partner to our Product Management team, giving customer inputs to SMART’s Technology Roadmap.
  • Represent our company during customer visits, events, and commercial and technical exhibitions.
  • Lead the successful launch of new products, collaborating with other departments to create a solid go-to-market strategy.
  • Solid administration, data collection and – analyse, securing measurable and factual statistics and KPI’s.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field or close related.
  • 5+ years of experience as an account manager in B2B, in the high-tech industry / semiconductors or tele- & datacom.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage unforeseen situations.
  • Resilience and understanding of the challenges of a scale-up in a new technology where the “mature” product does not yet exist.
  • Open to travel up to 20% of the time, (Europe, US, Asia)
  • Flawless verbal and non-verbal communication and presentation skills, being able to communicate with all levels and functions within the customer organisation.
  • Outstanding knowledge of the English language.
