SMART Photonics is a rapidly growing, ambitious open foundry on InP Photonics. We are unique in offering our customers a Process Design Kit (PDK) which allows them to design complex photonic circuits. Our customers come from a range of market sectors, including telecom/datacom, medical sensing, automotive/lidar and quantum technologies.
Our Test, Measurement and Reliability department is recruiting for a Senior RF test engineer.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop RF-optical test and qualification plans for our PIC and building blocks.
- Define and implement state-of-art RF validation and data analysis methodologies, including automation and statistical methods.
- Perform RF characterization and contribute to RF building block development within the company
- Design and Improve in-house RF test equipment for the next generation PIC platforms
- Provide technical leadership in RF-optical performance feedback to the R&D and process teams
- Participate and contribute to design reviews, FMEA etc. through the entire technology & product development life cycle for RF building blocks
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians in the RF test area
The person who is going to make a difference has/ is;
- Masters (Preferably PhD) in a technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of Experience in RF characterization in semiconductor environment.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to apply semiconductor knowledge to drive RF characterization
- Experienced for 5+ years in test hardware (LCA, VNA, SMUs, OSA) and software (Python or LabView)
- Experience Integration/calibration of hardware and software models into a laboratory environment.
- Technical management of a laboratory setup, including support for customer trials
- Solid mathematic and statistical background and understanding
- A Team player who easily communications on different levels.
