As seasoned project leader the III/V semiconductor industry is well known to you.

This role reports to the commercial Director and is part of the commercial team. you will be in the front of our customer projects, truly understanding their needs and requests, guiding towards timely delivery and securing clear communication. Capable to link the right people to each other and always oversee possible challenges. You enjoy the balancing act between pushing to the limits and securing excellent relations while doing so. Our biggest industries we are serving are the telecom and datacom markets, so predominately you will engage with customers in this application space. Other applications areas for customer interactions include Lidar for automotive or structural health monitoring and biomedical applications.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Guide the technical definition of new projects with the team and execute multiple projects as project owner, managing them according to budget, time, and quality targets.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders, internal colleagues, and our customers; establish milestones and proactively identify, escalate, resolve constraints.
  • Identify critical path based on deliverables, availability, and resources and act whenever needed to deliver according to agreements made with the customer.
  • Report out to senior management and executive customer level; Concisely communicate project status, secure the right data and status, manage and push expectations.
  • Manage the stakeholders to resolve potential issues to maintain tight factory schedules.
  • Coach the more junior colleagues in the diverse teams / settings. Challenge a continuous learning environment and lead by example.
  • Act as sparring & business partner for Product Management and Business Development colleagues to timely adjust roadmap, future development and business goals.

Requirements

  • Technical background (electronics, physics or photonics) and 5+ years semiconductor manufacturing experience as a technical project leader.
  • Good communication skills to guarantee good cooperation among the project team members for excellent results towards our customers.
  • Preferable solid understanding of our InP photonic integration technologies and relevant markets such as telecom, datacom, Lidar, sensing etc.
  • Rapidly analyse complex problems or technical systems and identify solution paths as a skilled, experienced negotiator.
  • Able to work in cross-functional teams and to influence effectively internal and external stakeholders. Strong communicator, self-confident and able to connect with people and win their trust and respect.
  • Forward-looking: demonstrate time management skills and the ability to think multiple steps ahead amid complex projects. Ensure all key milestones are scheduled in advance to proactively mitigate delays.
  • High tolerance to change and last-minute swings across schedule milestones.
